The Engineering Unleashed Faculty Development National Workshop Program, which attracts more than 200 engineering and STEM faculty annually, highlights entrepreneurially minded learning as central to the development of engineering graduates prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing world. The program includes tracks with opportunities for all faculty aspirations, including faculty roles as instructors, researchers, and leaders.
As part of the workshop, participants identified potential projects and honed the ideas with coaches for up to one year. Coaches nominated applicants for the fellowship and an independent review committee named the twenty-nine recipients for 2020.
To amplify the work of these fellows and advance the shared mission, awards are provided to the awardee’s home institutions through the Kern Family Foundation. In total, the colleges received $290,000 in support to recognize the excellent efforts in engineering education by their faculty.
We congratulate the institutions receiving these awards!
