About the Workshop


The Enhancing Inclusive Teaching Practices Through EML (EIT) workshop supports educators like you towards a more inclusive and diverse STEM community through entrepreneurially minded learning (EML). The goal of this workshop is to demonstrate the integration of EML and how it can be leveraged to enhance inclusion in the classroom such that you are able to develop an implementation and coaching plan that serves your own context. EIT provides a space for you to discuss, ideate, and be open-minded to new ideas.

  • When: August 4 - 7, 2025.
  • Where: Saint Kate, Milwaukee, WI.
  • Who Should Attend: Instructors teaching engineering courses and administrators interested in improving inclusive teaching practices in the classroom at their institutions.
  • Cost*: $3,500 per person.

*Registration cost includes workshop attendance, airfare, lodging, select meals, one year of coaching and consulting, and access to a library of workshop materials.


What To Expect From the Workshop


Everything you learn from the facilitation and coaching team and other participants can be immediately applied to your context and topics of interest. 

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the benefits of inclusive teaching practices such as increasing representation, creating safe spaces for failure, encouraging collaboration, and enhancing student autonomy in the classroom. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve inclusive teaching practices in EML.
  • Design classroom activities that help foster inclusive learning environments\experiences. 
  • Effectively use student feedback to improve inclusive practices.
