About the Workshop

The EM Assessment with COMPASS (Cooperative eMerging Partnership for Assessment Support and Success of the 3Cs) workshop will guide participants through assessment best practices and enable faculty to design and implement an assessment plan for their EM curriculum. The insights into assessment strategies and tools will empower participants to confidently assess the 3Cs.

• When: May 27 - 30, 2025.
• Where: Virtual.
• Who Should Attend: Engineering faculty who are either new to EM assessment or want to take their EM assessment work to the next level. Ideally participants will have attended a past ICE workshop.
• Cost*: $1,500 per person.

*Registration cost includes workshop attendance, one year of coaching and consulting, and access to a library of workshop materials.

What To Expect From the Workshop

Everything you learn from the facilitation and coaching team and other participants can be immediately applied to your context and topics of interest. 

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Increase their knowledge surrounding assessment, including understanding common assessment methods and research-based best practices of assessment .
• Apply knowledge surrounding assessment to plan and implement assessment of an EM module.
• Analyze the results of their assessment to reflect on their impact as an instructor.
• Develop an assessment plan for an EM project.
• Develop confidence in writing publications based on this assessment work.
