About the Workshop


Project-based Entrepreneurial Learning (PBEL) will promote and support you in the advancement of project-based learning on your campus in ways that develop engineering students’ entrepreneurial mindsets. Participating provides you an opportunity to learn strategies for fostering entrepreneurial mindset through project-based curricular design and teaching. PBEL will guide you through crafting a project-based learning plan that promotes student curiosity and helps them make connections while considering your students’ specific contexts.

  • When: June 9 - 12, 2025.
  • Where: Westin Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH.
  • Who Should Attend: Faculty members who are interested in how project-based learning can promote an entrepreneurial mindset among their engineering undergraduate students.
  • Cost*: $3,500 per person.

*Registration cost includes workshop attendance, airfare, lodging, select meals, one year of coaching and consulting, and access to a library of workshop materials.


What To Expect From the Workshop


Everything you learn from the facilitation and coaching team and other participants can be immediately applied to your context and topics of interest. 

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Integrate entrepreneurially minded learning and project-based learning in ways that are mutually reinforcing for increasing engineering students’ learning and success.
  • Redesign core engineering courses to increase students’ creativity through troubleshooting during the design process.
  • Explore curricula and strategies that teach students how to integrate concepts and perspectives across disciplines to build curiosity and connections.
  • Assess strategies for engaging project sponsors and teaching stakeholder analysis that scaffolds student learning about value construction.
